How to Get Paid Apps for Free Without Jailbreak [iOS & Android]

Wish to get an app which cost you few dollars but no extra cash to spend or don’t want to jailbreak your device? Here’s a way to do it for iOS devices like iPhone, iPad and iPod. Its available for Android devices too but I don’t any Android device so probably you have to get the steps from the site. No worry, the steps are easy.

The way to get those paid apps you want is to earn iTunes gift cards via FreeMyApps (freemyapps.com). The idea is simple. They will have a list sponsored apps on their site and each of the apps will have different amount of credits assigned to them. You can click on the apps and you will be redirected to page of that particular app on Apple App Store. What you need to do is just download the app and try it for around 30 seconds. Then if you go back to the website your credit should increase right now. By using the credits you can redeem different kind of gift cards such as iTunes Gift Cards, Amazon Gift Cards and others. You can also choose to donate the credits. The credits can be earned by introducing your friend to this site. However there’s a catch. You can only use the gift card on a US iTunes account. IMG_3153

To clear your doubts I am not paid by FreeMyApps to write this but I am trying to share great things to you all. I have been trying a few ways to get paid apps and according to my experience this site is simply the best. There are similar websites but FreeMyApps’ sponsored apps will be updated very frequently, meaning that you can earn the credit very fast. Each app will give different credits, ranging from 50 points to 320 points. 3000 points will be equivalent to USD $10.00. My fastest record to get to 3000 credits in 10 days. I have been using this for less than 2 years and I have redeemed USD $60.00 from the site and with more than 6000 credits in hand. The whole process should be quite secure as the download is done from App Store.

Here are the steps on how you can do it.

  1.  First you need to create a US iTunes account. You can search from the Internet on how to do it. You have to give up your old iTunes account or use both the old one and the newly created US account. I am doing the latter and I found no problem with it.
  2. Next by using your iOS device, visit freemyapps.com ( You can use my referral link if you want. Its totally understandable if you don’t. :) ).
  3. Enroll your device by verifying the secure device profile.
  4. Go to the site and download the sponsored apps to earn credits.
  5. [Optional] Add the site to homescreen for easier access in the future.
  6. Redeem the credits for iTunes Giftcards and purchase the app you want!

[Update] One thing to be noted is that your credits will expire after 60 inactive days. So make sure you download at least 1 app from the site every two months.

Basically that’s the whole story. All the hassle are worth it to me as I can get the apps I want legally and through the process I can try a lot of apps. Some of the sponsored apps are really useful to me. Buying the apps can show our support to the developers and they can have the financial power to create even better apps, which in the end benefit us. Tips: FreeMyApps recognises your device only. So if you have multiple devices and all of them are having different iTunes account, you can earn the credits separately and then you can use the redeemed gift cards on only one account. However, take note that for different devices, you need different iTunes account when you download the sponsored apps as credits will only be given to the first download only. You can visit their welcome page to get more info on how it works. Hope that you will find this helpful. You can ask me for further details by leaving a comment below. Cheers!
